CareerInView browser extension

Here to help.

Save jobs as you browse. Keep the details together in your tracker.

Install CareerInView

Get CareerInView from the Chrome Web Store. Choose Add to Chrome, confirm Add extension, then pin CareerInView next to your address bar. In Microsoft Edge, allow extensions from other stores if asked.

Add to Chrome

Connect your tracker

  1. Open your signed-in student workspace once to connect the extension.
  2. Open CareerInView from Chrome's toolbar. Choose Enable job sites and approve the first-use HTTPS access request.
  3. Open a supported job listing and choose Add job. Your new record appears in CareerInView as Saved, with a Needs review badge.

A signed-in account with access to the student workspace is required. Open that workspace to connect the extension.

Using Apply prompts

Turn on Ask when I click Apply or Easy Apply in the extension. Easy Apply shows a question on LinkedIn. A LinkedIn Apply link to an employer shows it on the destination page. If the toolbar popup cannot open, click the extension's Add badge.

Other website visits do not trigger an automatic prompt. Open the extension manually to add or update a job there.

Track the right application

Choose a saved application in the extension when you want to link its company page or update its status. Separate job postings at the same company remain separate records.

Track this application can capture selected resume and cover-letter files and mark a Saved record Applied when the page gives a clear submission confirmation. It never fills or submits an application for you. When a site is unsupported or a confirmation is unclear, update the record manually in CareerInView.

Common fixes

Contact CareerInView

Include the extension version, browser version, and what happened. A public job-listing URL can help us investigate. Do not send passwords, connection tokens, or private application documents.
